Since I was a kid, I have been wanting to live abroad and improve my command of foreign languages. There is just something behind the decoding mechanism of understanding and transferring a message into another "code" (i.e. language) that I find incredibly satisfying. That is why, as soon as I was able, I started to travel as much as I could to countries where the first language was either English, French or German, while at the same time devoting myself to perfecting my native language, Italian. Studying in France and Italy, as well as moving to Vienna, Austria, at the age of 21, allowed me to sharpen my language skills and deepen my knowledge of the cultural background related to those languages. Today, I work as a conference interpreter, specialized translator, proofreader and language instructor. In the photo on this website’s home page, for example, I am sitting in an interpretation booth, from which I simultaneously translated a conference on perinatal medicine in 2023 in Milan, Italy, from Italian into French. My two bachelor's and my master's degrees in foreign languages, conference interpreting and specialized translation, as well as my work experience, allow me to offer professional and quality services, but it is my passion and high regard for this profession that drives me.
